Why I serve
Why I Became a Cazadora for K9s
My life has been shaped by people who chose to serve when they had every reason to walk away.
Veterans, on and off duty, sacrificed for freedoms I often took for granted. Faith-filled leaders invested in me when they had nothing to gain. Mentors gave their time, wisdom, and encouragement in the seasons I needed it most. Through their actions I experienced what it means to be the hands and feet of Jesus, and those experiences changed the direction of my life. They reshaped my understanding of success, which is not found in what we accumulate for ourselves but in how we serve and impact others.
Today, serving those who served us is the heartbeat behind everything I do. It shapes how I lead, how I build relationships, how I run my business, and how I choose to give back.

Honoring Service with Service
As the daughter and granddaughter of a veteran, I witnessed what can happen to someone who never received help with PTSD after their service. K9s For Camo represents a mission that is deeply personal to me, reflecting a simple but powerful belief: those who sacrificed for others should never have to walk this life alone.
By helping provide life-changing service dogs to veterans at no cost, this organization restores confidence, independence, and hope to men and women who have already given so much. Every time I see a veteran matched with a dog that becomes their shield, battle buddy, and source of support, I am reminded why this mission matters.
